Acts 23:11

Did Jesus appear to Paul again in this verse or is this not to be taken literally?

Hey Luna, I think the concept of ‘nearness’ in the Bible allows for more than just a literal interpretation. In a sense, God is ‘near’ to everyone if we read Acts. In another sense, God is ‘near’ to every believer because the Spirit lives in us. I think in this passage it is suggesting God’s presence was near - palpable - present - with Paul. That is different than Jesus physically appearing.

Acts 17:27 - God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us.
