Are fallen angels still roaming the spiritual realms ?
Are they disguising themselves as Shiva? or other hindu gods? or did they disguise themselves as zeus or anything like that ?
THank you !

That’s a good question. In 1Cor 8:5 apostle Paul neither outrightly affirms not denies this but he draws our attention to the ultimate conclusion; doesn’t matter coz our God is God of all.

Paul definitely affirmed that the struggle is more than meets the eye:

Ephesians 6:10-12 NASB
[10] Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. [11] Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. [12] For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places …

Great passage too, as it’s the one about the armor of God!

I can agree with @Sumitranaidu’s sentiment that we should not fear for God has us in His care! But we should definitely not be caught unawares either, and know that we need God’s power to conquer not only what we see with our eyes.

I’m glad our Heavenly Father cares greatly for us and keeps us in His care.

2 Thes. 3:3 NASB
But the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen and protect you from the evil one.

Deut. 31:6 NASB
Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble at them, for the LORD your God is the one who goes with you. He will not fail you or forsake you.”

@vmckay, this is a question that I had to deal with when I first came out of Hinduism and accepted Christ as my Savior. I accepted Jesus as the true God for several reasons but then I wondered who these other gods were. I had many questions. Were these other gods mythical or real spirit beings? If they are spirit beings, were they of God or against God? Does the Bible have any verses to suggest that false gods are demons? What does the Bible have to say about demons entering the world? On answering these questions, I came to the conclusion that these gods could be fallen angels.

The Bible asserts that the false gods worshipped both in OT and NT times are either demons OR anything man decided to worship in exchange for the Creator

Deu 32:16-17 NASB They made Him jealous with strange gods ; With abominations they provoked Him to anger. 17 “They sacrificed to demons who were not God, To gods whom they have not known, New gods who came lately, Whom your fathers did not dread.

1 Corinthians 10: 20-21 NASB No , but I say that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons and not to God; and I do not want you to become sharers in demons. 21 You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons; you cannot partake of the table of the Lord and the table of demons.

Romans 1:25 For For they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen

The bible does support the idea that Satan and demons are Lucifer and other fallen angels.

In Luke 10:18, Jesus Himselef says that He saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.

Isaiah 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

Rev 12:9 And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world—he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him

We test if spirits are of God based on whether they accept Jesus as the incarnation of God.

1 John 4:1-3 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are of God; for many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit which confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit which does not confess Jesus is not of God. This is the spirit of antichrist, of which you heard that it was coming, and now it is in the world already.

Hindu gods are not all mythical but are real spirit beings.
I have had many experiences to sense that these gods are not just mythical but real spirit beings. I have seen devotees of several different Hindu gods being taken control over/ possessed by the spirits of gods they worshipped. Sometimes, the devotees received special powers like releasing a force at will. Sometimes the spirits would take over the devotees voices, actions or send them into a trance like state. These devotees did not come out of the experience claiming Jesus as God.

Jesus is not affirmed as an incarnation of God in the Hindu scriptures
While Hinduism may claim that there are many paths to the one true God, Hindu gurus in my experience only respect Jesus as a prophet and they reject Jesus as an incarnation of God.

If these Hindu gods are spirit beings that are different from the Spirit of Christ and if there can be only one God by definition - the cause of all causes, it seems reasonable to conclude that these spirit beings that demand worship are fallen angels, just as the gods of the pagan worshippers described in the Bible.

I am always uncomfortable talking about my understanding on spiritual beings that others consider sacred. This reasoning above has helped me get a perspective on reality that I have experienced. However, I am convinced that exalting Christ and sharing truth about Christ is the way to reach out to followers of other gods with the gospel.
