Ask Balajied Nongrum (April 27-May 1, 2020)

Hello once again, @Interested_In_Ask_RZIM friends!

This coming week, we have the immense privilege of welcoming speaker @Balajied_Nongrum from our India team to the Q&A forum.

Dr. Nongrum holds a bachelor’s degree in veterinary science from the Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University, Hyderabad. After completing his MA in philosophy and religion, Balajied went on to pursue a second master’s degree in science and religion from Biola University in the US.

It was during his undergraduate studies that Balajied began to grapple with the big questions of meaning and purpose of existence. The transition from skeptic to ardent follower of Christ was dramatic when he learnt that Jesus Christ is not only his Savior, but also the one who bestows meaning to life. Thus began the journey of joyous discovery of pursuing and proclaiming Jesus as Lord.

As a speaker and trainer with RZIM, Balajied has spoken widely and addressed diverse subjects such as ethics, philosophy, culture, science, and religion. When commending the love of Christ in schools, colleges, universities, and on the radio, his efforts have always been undergirded by apologetics. He is passionate about defending his faith and talking on the uniqueness of Christ. Central to his discourses is the intersection of science and religion, his twin topics of interest and specialization. He has had the privilege on special occasions to speak at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), National Institute of Technology (NIT), and North Eastern Hills University (NEHU), among others.

At the invitation of the Election Commission, Balajied spoke on ethical voting in the specially curated Shillong Talks, ahead of the 2019 General Elections in India. He has been part of similar strategic government initiatives on peace which have resulted in positive outcomes. Balajied, his wife, Coniefer, and their son Jedidiah make their home in the beautiful hill-station of Shillong.

Don’t miss out on your opportunity to engage with him this week…esp. if you are @Interested_in_Hinduism @Interested_in_Sikhism or @Interested_in_Science! As always, reply below with any questions. :arrow_heading_down:

Can you share your view on communion that Joseph Prince writes about in his book Eat your way to Life and Health and is his view theologically accurate.

Hi Abby,

My apologies, I am not very familiar with Joseph Prince and his theology. So, I do not think I will be in a position to comment on them.

Thank you,

Blessings,

Balajied.
