Ask Jordan Thyer (March 30-April 3, 2020)

Hello, fam!
I hope everyone is keeping well. If you’re like me on ‘lockdown’ or sheltering-in-place or whatever your country calls it, then you may welcome the chance to interact with one of RZIM’s most warm and enthusiastic Australians: @Jordan_Thyer. :australia: :koala: :kangaroo:

EDIT: Each Q&A with Jordan Thyer is now in its own topic in order to make finding these resources easier.

Jordan Thyer grew up in the Perth hills and spent a lot of time outdoors with his three brothers and playing sports with mates. Seeing genuine Christian faith displayed in his parents helped Jordan recognize that Christianity was good, but the question came later if it was true. Studying chemical engineering at Curtin University further prompted him to consider if Christianity was intellectually credible. The outcome of his subsequent investigation was that Christianity was not only credible, but it also gave satisfying answers to the deeper questions of life.

Jordan worked as a chemical engineer before moving to the UK to study at the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics (OCCA). Returning to Australia, Jordan completed a master in divinity at Trinity Theological College while working as a youth minister and then teaching pastor. Jordan now works as an itinerant speaker for Ravi Zacharias International Ministries and as a church youth minister. He loves his wife, Rachel, and is a fan of all sports, dogs, good coffee, and knowing Jesus and making him known (John 17:3).

You can ask your question of Jordon by replying below!

Stay safe and well, everyone! :mask:

Good day Jordan, I see that your title at church is, minister of evangelism. How does that align with your rzim role? Thanks. Bill

G’day Bill.
Basically my role at the church is a lay (volunteer) role so that I’m serving as a part of a local church with people we share so much of life with. I’m also an accredited minister with my denomination so I conduct weddings and funerals.
