Thanks for all of you that responded to my questions. There are a few of you that I have yet to hear from but I am truly amazed and so very proud of all of you that you, not only have had the discipline to keep up, but unless I’ve misunderstood, all want to keep going. Just think, next week will be the last post and you will be diving into the last 2 verses and you’ll have Philippians 2 down! Way to go! Isn’t the chapter powerful?!?!
The next issue is what will we memorize next? II Timothy has been mentioned as well as Psalms. I am a coordinator but not the final decision-maker so what do all of you think? Are there other possibilities as well? I am so excited about doing this with you. Just think, if you had not decided to learn this chapter, it would have slipped by without you memorizing it. But now you almost have it all in your heart. I am so very happy for all of you. I always hear people say that they are not good at memorizing. Well, I know that I’m not but if the desire is there, you will do it.
Please let us all know what you would like to memorize next. Don’t you think that no matter if we decide soon, we should take a break before we’d dive into the new chapter?
Here are the week’s verses:
Philippians 2: 27 Indeed he was ill, and almost died. But God had mercy on him, and not on him only but also on me, to spare me sorrow upon sorrow.
Philippians 2:28 Therefore I am all the more eager to send him, so that when you see him again you may be glad and I may have less anxiety. (NIV)
Philippians 2:27 Indeed he was ill, near to death. But God had mercy on him, and not only on him but on me also, lest I should have sorrow upon sorrow.
Philippians 2:28 I am the more eager to send him, therefore, that you may rejoice at seeing him again, and that I may be less anxious. (ESV)
Philippians 2:27 For indeed he was sick almost unto death; but God had mercy on him, and not only on him but on me also, lest I should have sorrow upon sorrow.
Philippians 2:28 Therefore I sent him the more eagerly, that when you see him again you may rejoice, and I may be less sorrowful. (NKJV)
It’s so good to know Jesus and that these are His Words to us!
