What would be your answer for the following statements:

Most scientists would be deists because you need to get rid of “reasoning, logic and scientific methods” to be a theist:

Baseless attributes (without evidence) to a hypothetical being and affirm it is the truth(it goes against science)

It’s pretty easy to disprove Christianity, you just need to point out its contradictions:
A. God is omniscient, has a plan, predestinates people and prophecies exist.
B. Humans have free will. ( verses that demonstrate humans’ lack of free will,

I would ask these questions to keep the conversation going:

Why do you differentiate between a ‘deist’ and a ‘theist’, in this statement. Logically, what stops a Creator God (Deism), from stepping into His Creation (Theism)? Is it because a self-creating universe is logically impossible, and so a ‘deistic god’ who makes the Universe and doesn’t provide any moral boundaries or duties is one that appeals to you? Are you sure this isn’t just a projection of your ideal ‘god’; and not reality?

Baseless attributes (without evidence) to a hypothetical being and affirm it is the truth(it goes against science)

Ask them what baseless attributes without evidence they are talking about.
Maybe just quote an atheist from this article and include it’s source and ask them what they think about it:

But if the mental is not itself merely physical, it cannot be fully explained by physical science. Evolutionary naturalism implies that we shouldn’t take any of our convictions seriously, including the scientific world picture on which evolutionary naturalism itself depends - Thomas Nagel
(from https://www.solas-cpc.org/john-lennox-busts-a-myth-about-religion-faith-and-science/)

they are talking about determinism.

in atheism; the only option is determinism, as Ravi points out in this video. Maybe just share this video and ask their opinion of it.

(it’s going to be easier on you to get them to start to argue with someone like Ravi Zacharius or Lennox Lennox  )

hopefully a few helpful thoughts.
